JP has been studying music for twenty years, along with writing,
recording, producing and performing, Rock and Metal, up and down the east for
15 years. Teaching for over a decade now, he specialized in all types of Rock
and Metal, but is also proficient at teaching most styles including Blues,
Country, Jazz, Fusion, Classical and Music Theory. He has a strong emphasis on
customizing the lesson plan for each individual student.

a classical guitar graduate of NOVA. He plays a variety of styles and
specializes in Classical and Rock. He has over 25 years of teaching experience.
SCOTT MCKNIGHT (G) (B) 703-244-1984 (MONDAY NIGHT):
Scott earned a Bachelor of Arts in
Music from George Mason University. He was nominated for Wammies for his solo
CD and for songwriter of the year. Scott has performed with several other
Wammie nominated bands in the area and ran a recording studio out of his
home. He has been teaching bass, guitar,
songwriting, recording and theory since the late 80’s.

Lawrence attended at the Berklee College of Music and graduated Summa Cum Laude on the Dean’s List. He has been performing since 1977 and teaching since 1985 ranging from a variety of styles including Jazz, Blues, Rock and Country.
MATVEI SIGALOV (G) CALL STORE
Matvei is a dynamic and versatile
jazz musician. He is well-known in the DC metro area for his orchestra,
ensemble, improvisational, and solo performance skills. He is proficient in the
following instruments: acoustic violin, electric violin, nylon stringed guitar,
steel stringed guitar, electric guitar, keyboards, and percussion. Matvie graduated
with a BA in Music at the Samara College of Music located in Russia. He has
played in many venues in the area including Lincoln Theater, Kennedy Center,
Hippodrome Theater, and Blues Alley Iridium, numerous events in Russia, US,
Europe, and Hong Kong.

Sean has a Bachelor’s Degree from George Mason University and an
Associate of Applied Arts in Music Degree from Northern Virginia Community
College. He taught Guitar for Fairfax County Park Authority and is currently a
special education and music department assistant for Fairfax Public Schools.
Sean teaches Guitar and Piano.

David Kitchen is a guitarist,
singer and songwriter living in the DC area where he has maintained an
active performance schedule as a sideman and bandleader for the last 25
years. During this time his prowess on the guitar has made him the go to
guy for all things related to American Roots Music. A group of David's peers in
the Washington Area Music Association has consistently recognized his
achievements with several nominations and awards for his instrumental,
vocal and songwriting efforts. His guitar teaching style is customized for each
student and emphasizes song structure, practical music theory and vocal

Ryan graduated with a BA of Fine Arts from JMU. He has been teaching
music lessons since 2000. Ryan performs currently with “The Beanstalk Library”
around the DMV area and was a Worship Music Leader at Columbia Baptist Church
for 7 years. Ryan teaches guitar, piano, bass and ukulele.

: Adam is a senior at George Mason University majoring in Audio Engineering and minoring in Jazz Performance. He has performed with several Pop, Rock and Heavy Metal groups over the past 10 years, and has taught lessons with a focus on building the modern musician for the past 4 years. Adam teaches all styles of modern Electric and Acoustic Guitar as well as Ukulele, Bass and general music theory ranging from the basics into modern experimental music theory.
